Someone: Caught By South Africa

Journalist Annemie Struyf and photographer Lieve Blancquaert travel together through the beautiful South Africa. A hectic, moving search for all those simple things that make no one someone. So obvious to one, but so unattainable to the other: a house, a bed, water, food, health, respect. Personal, but at the same time universal stories between truth and reconciliation, word and language, white and black, good and evil. The images of Lieve Blancquaert and the stories of Annemie Struyf fit together seamlessly, as if they never did anything else than travel together and tell someone's story. Someone is also the unique account of 15 years of development cooperation between Flanders and South Africa.
