In the name of the father
A Saturday night, early June. Luc Michiels, an unemployed dock worker, is executed in true mafia style. At the same time, Isaura de Mey, the nineteen-year-old daughter of a wealthy real estate magnate, leaves an exclusive polo event in Brasschaat. She takes an overdose and commits suicide. Pretty soon, inspector Liese Meerhout and her team discover that Michiels was an informant for the colleagues of the drug section. Was Michiels betrayed? Is there a mole in the police? Seppe, Michiels' twelve-year-old son, was found on the street on the night of the murder and has not spoken since. What did the boy see? Liese sinks her teeth into the case and also investigates the suicide of Isaura de Mey, to the annoyance of her bosses. She finds a completely broken family that apparently harbors more than one secret in their expensive villa. Then strange men start appearing in Seppe's neighborhood. Liese and her team do everything they can to eliminate the threat, but not much later little Seppe has disappeared...
