Vrij Vriendelijk includes two tools: a workbook with interactive work forms and conversation methods (for teachers) and a video with conversations of young people about relationships and sexuality (for students and teachers). Both tools, workbook and video, are inextricably linked. Vrij Vriendelijk can be used by any teacher who wants to work with students on relationships and sexuality.
It lowers the threshold for students to talk about themselves in a group: thanks to the video, they can start from ideas of peers and learn from each other.
The line of interactive and experiential social learning is continued in this workbook. For each theme you will find background information and a number of working methods by way of example. A lot of attention was paid to possible methods to let students reflect on their own experience, behavior and opinion regarding relationships and sexuality, and to dialogue about this with the class group and the teacher. Other methods, such as thinking exercises, quizzes, empathy games and role-playing games, are aimed at acquiring insights, attitudes, values ​​and knowledge and information about relationships and sexuality.
