The nice thing about buying books is that with every new arrival you read titles that make you want to pick up the book and start reading.

There is no subject about which nothing has been written yet I think. Also this week I will introduce you to some nice titles.

My life, Sven Nys

In this book, Sven Nys tells how he always wanted to be the best. Thanks to Sven Nys in particular, cyclocross has become extremely popular in Flanders. But this book is more than just about his sporting successes. This book is also about Sven Nys as a person and gives you an insight into the evolution he has gone through as an athlete and as a person.

Once you start reading this book you just sprint to the last page because the book is just that good. It is nice to read how he started his career as an athlete and what he had to do to become a top athlete. If you are curious, definitely buy this book

Forgotten Kingdoms

In Forgotten Kingdoms, Norman Davies is an inspired guide through two thousand years of history.

Where have the great names of the past gone? Aragon, the Byzantine Empire or Etruria? Norman Davies retrieves fifteen forgotten kingdoms, duchies and republics from the dust of history. His account is full of surprising stories and sharp observations.

My dream of Africa

In this book she describes her new travels to Africa, including a long walk through Namibia and a trip to Kenya, her encounters with all kinds of people and aid organizations and the projects they are working on, including in the slums of Nairobi. In the last part of the book she reports on her journey, together with her daughter Napirai, to Kenya, where Napirai meets her father and half-sisters and gets to know other family and Corinne also sees all kinds of people again.

The Amsterdam tree book

This richly illustrated, beautifully published book takes residents and visitors of Amsterdam to striking trees, parks and cemeteries and tells inspired stories. About the last days of the horse chestnut that Anne Frank saw from the Secret Annex, about the marshy ground in the Vondelpark where trees have difficulty finding a hold or about the plane trees that have grown towards each other in the Lomanstraat.

Pure food

Food that makes you happy, more beautiful and more energetic... Pascale Naessens chooses a simple, natural way of eating. It is certainly not a diet. Her pure cuisine has become a concept: healthy, exceptionally tasty and little work in the kitchen. Passionate about food, Pascale Naessens followed a classical training to become a restaurateur in 2003.

Voila, I have selected these 5 books but of course there are many more books that I could have mentioned here as well. Such as " I am not God " (Frank Vandenbroucke), " Viking, son of the North " (Tim Severin), " Hidden desire " (Wannes Dupont), " The Leonardo Compass " (Bernard Lernout), " Tax me if You can " (Michel Maus), " The Intimate Death " (Marie de Hennezel), " Three Zen Masters " (John Stevens), " World child " (Renée Wolfs), " Napoleon " (Bart Van Loo), " The report of my research " (Herodotos), " Moroccan-Arabic " (Jan Hoogland) and many more ....
